Job Summary:

 

Under general supervision, responsible for providing specialized administrative support in a laboratory and/or clinical research environment.

Job Duties:

 

 

  1. Assists in the orthopaedic department in joining the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Registry program.
  2. Assists healthcare providers in collection of research data from electronic medical records.
  3. Assists healthcare providers in recording of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) in EPIC.
  4. Assists office staff and healthcare providers in collecting PROMs through Mychart.
  5. Serves as liaison between healthcare providers, IT department, and AAOS registry
  6. Provides troubleshooting and end-user support.
  7. Coordinates multiple research protocols and grant submissions.
  8. Assists with monitoring budgets, spending, purchasing and participant payments.
  9. Creates, completes and tracks forms and reports for study sponsors.
  10. Schedules on-site visits or meetings and prepares agendas as indicated.
  11. Provides routine technical/administrative assistance in performing assigned and delegated tasks in support of research projects to ensure continuous clinical research operations.
  12. Maintains research subject files for each clinical study and enters all subject data into research database.
  13. Monitors ongoing activities on various research studies to ensure compliance with local, state & federal regulations.
  14. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

 

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Experience:

 

Three (3) years of progressive experience in grant administration, research coordination, data collection, and/or facilitating the patient experience in research projects is required.
