Simulation Support Specialist

Job Summary:
Responsible for developing course setups and scenarios with faculty in creating simulated environments reflecting a healthcare setting ranging from home-care to acute care. Utilizes mid to high fidelity simulators to create realistic diseases, injury or surgical wounds and situations.
This is a part-time role
Job Duties:
- Implements course setups and scenarios with faculty and conducts/leads student simulation experiences and debriefings.
- Provides faculty and student instruction on use of simulators, equipment and other technology.
- Manages clinical learning scenario setups and records.
- Manages complex inventory of healthcare models, manikins, equipment, and supplies.
- Coordinates the ordering of supplies and assess course needs each semester.
- Monitors inventory for disposable supplies and pharmacy supplies.
- Trains and guides the work of students and supervises as appropriate.
- Maintains learning environment and equipment with the assistance from students and conducts tours.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience performing various nursing procedures and using medical equipment is required. Simulation experience is required.
Additional Licenses and Certifications:
Registered TX Nurse License is required.
Preferred:
Master's degree is preferred.
