Sterile Process Tech-Int
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for sterilizing and decontaminating surgical instruments and equipment for use in the procedure rooms and throughout the clinics.
Job Duties:
- Sterilizes and gives routine care to clinical instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Sets up instrument trays for treatments and ensures standard trays are ready for use.
- Assembles surgical carts; tracks and maintains the total inventory of instruments, disposables, and implants.
- Performs preventive maintenance on clinic handpieces and other clinic equipment.
- Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic, equipment loan policies; follows up on loaned equipment.
- Assists with developing and implementing procedures and policies related to sterile processing.
- Makes recommendations to manager regarding tray setups, handpieces and equipment.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
Two (2) years related experience is required.
