Compensation Analyst

Job Summary:
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration and maintenance of various compensation-related data management systems, programs and processes. This position will coordinate and facilitate the implementation of UT Health San Antonio's compensation philosophy, programs and initiatives. Conducts research and analysis in different areas involving compensation, including but not limited to base pay administration, compensation statistics, job evaluations and analyses, market pricing, and survey submission.
Job Duties:
- Support the implementation of pay plan structures, job classifications, development of job descriptions and pay related decisions for new hires, promotions, market adjustments and internal equity adjustments.
- Conduct research and analysis in evaluation of job reclassification requests and new job description requests; including preparing market pricing recommendations, reviewing internal equity, and recommending salary range and FLSA classification.
- Provides compensation expertise and counsel to departmental HR Business Partners with respect to all compensation matters including salary management, retention needs, and policies and procedures.
- Participates in salary surveys and provides requested data as well as upload completed surveys into analysis database.
- Design and adjust salary structures within guidelines.
- Applies analytical skill and statistical data in decision-making in workforce planning.
- Maintain database that supports requests to ensure timely responsiveness - close tickets, create action items, disseminate final decision to stakeholders.
- Support performance management strategies and gateways that allow for merit adjustments.
- Maintain monthly metrics and partner with HRIS to graphically represent changes within the institution which demonstrate our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- CCP, SHRM-CP, or PHR certifications
Experience:
- At least one (1) year of compensation experience.
