Job Summary

The Organizational Effectiveness (OD) Consultant in Human Resources serves as a resource and partner to leaders to support effective execution and adoption of key initiatives and assess and improve performance related to talent, culture, and experience. The OD Consultant collaborates with internal stakeholders, and other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify critical areas for OD initiatives. The OD Consultant develops and manages detailed plans that are relevant, valid, and appropriate for the intended audience and performs business unit assessments and reviews for strategic and tactical deliverables. In addition, the OD Consultant develops and implements strategies, interventions, and resources for leaders to deliver on the UT Health San Antonio strategic plan priorities and expected outcomes, partnering directly with cross-functional teams.

Job Duties

  1. Functions as an internal consultant to assess, measure, and enhance organizational performance.
  2. Identifies opportunities to partner with leaders and employees to support the institution's strategic goals and objectives.
  3. Design, development, implementation, monitoring, and trending of talent programs including Strategic Workforce Planning, Talent Planning, Potential Assessment and Leadership Assessments, Performance Management, Goal Management, Climate assessments and employee surveys, Talent Analytics, and Workforce Communications for Talent Programs.
  4. Demonstrated experience with employee engagement survey platforms to gather, analyze, assess, and coach executive leaders.
  5. Directs performance improvement projects and designs and implements performance improvement interventions.
  6. Evaluates projects based on standardized metrics and intervention outcomes.
  7. Develops strategic partnerships with institutional leadership, HR partners, and other internal clients to identify and intervene on change management initiatives that foster organization learning and address institutional strategic goals and needs.
  8. Facilitates in-person and virtual meeting group and departmental planning and interaction to improve group/department productivity, decision making and performance in a team based cultural environment.
  9. Influences and supports changes in institutional behavior.
  10. Other duties as assigned

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field is required.

 

Experience

5-7 years of experience with strategic HR work preferred in an organizational development role, and program or project management

 

Preferred

  • Healthcare or academic health institution experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in project management enterprise-wide (including communication plans, Gantt Chart schedule), Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft HCM, Orgvue, Qualtrics, Employee Engagement Survey platform, Power BI, Workforce Analytics & Planning, SmartSheet, Visio, Snagit, SharePoint. Advanced
  • SHRM-CP/PHR
  • Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) Certification
  • Organizational Development Certification
  • Organization Development Assessment Certifications
  • Leadership or Executive Coaching Certification
  • Project Management (PMP)
